5040 Single Loop Controller

The Masibus Model 5040 Single Loop Controller is built for complex and demanding process control applications while maintaining a compact panelmounted design. It combines advanced hardware and software capabilities, providing flexibility typically found in more expensive programmable controllers.

The controller supports a wide range of analog inputs, including thermocouples, RTDs, current, and voltage signals, along with digital inputs, remote setpoint capability, and feedback resistance input. It can operate using Auto-Tune PID, On/Off, or motorized valve control, depending on the application’s requirements.

With four relay outputs, four digital outputs, and configurable analog outputs, the 5040 provides flexible options for process control, alarms, events, and diagnostics. Its RS-485 communication with Modbus RTU enables easy integration with SCADA, PLC, and DCS systems, while important process values can also be retransmitted through standard current or voltage signals.

Designed with a fail-safe approach, the Model 5040 helps protect the process during system malfunctions. Its fast 250 ms response time, multiple alarm options, auto/manual operation with bumpless transfer, and flexible output configuration make it suitable for demanding industrial applications.

It is ideal for use in heat treatment and reheat furnaces, ceramic kilns, glass processing, flow and pressure control, water and wastewater systems, and ratio control applications.
