Flare stacks are commonly used in chemical, petrochemical, and steel industries to safely burn excess or unwanted gases. They help prevent dangerous pressure build-up by combusting flammable gases before they can be released into the atmosphere. Controlled combustion is more environmentally responsible than directly venting hydrocarbons, while continuous monitoring helps ensure that unburned gases and other pollutants are not released.

ACCURATE & RELIABLE MONITORING

The AMETEK LAND LWIR-640 provides high-resolution thermal imaging of flare flames from a safe distance. This protects the camera from harsh stack conditions while making inspection and maintenance safer.

The system detects the infrared radiation produced by the flame, providing a clear thermal image regardless of flame appearance or weather conditions.

WIDE DETECTION RANGE

The LWIR-640 measures temperatures from 100°C to 1000°C (212°F to 1832°F), allowing accurate monitoring of changing flame temperatures while minimizing the influence of surrounding heat.

It can operate in ambient temperatures from -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F), making it suitable for a wide range of installation environments.

ADVANCED IMAGE PROCESSING & ALARMS

IMAGEPro V2 software enables users to control, monitor, analyze, and record thermal data from multiple thermal imaging cameras simultaneously.

It provides detailed visualization of temperature data and allows configurable alarms when temperatures become unusually low or high, helping operators identify potential flare performance issues quickly.
