Accurate Temperature Measurement for Molten Metals

The SPOT+ MM (MeltMaster) is a specialized infrared pyrometer designed for precise, continuous temperature measurement of molten metal in foundry and tapping operations. Molten-metal measurement can be challenging due to constantly changing pouring streams, variations in the metal surface, and the formation of thin and inconsistent oxide layers. The SPOT+ MM uses application-specific signal processing and dedicated measurement modes to maintain dependable temperature readings even when surface conditions change. With an adjustable response time from 1 ms to 10 seconds and configurable processing functions, the instrument can effectively monitor and maintain tapping temperatures. Its integrated visual camera assists with accurate targeting while also enabling remote viewing of the measurement area. The built-in web server provides convenient remote access, configuration and temperature monitoring through standard network connectivity. SPOT Viewer and SPOT Pro software options further support data logging, trend analysis, remote image capture and management of multiple pyrometers.

Temperature data and configuration can be accessed through a standard web browser, while optional SPOT Viewer software provides data logging, live and historical temperature trends, remote image capture and multi-instrument control. SPOT Pro can also be used for applications involving multiple SPOT pyrometers.
Integrated Sighting & Targeting

The SPOT+ MM incorporates a video-based sighting system with local display and remote image capture. A patented pulsed green LED focus pattern provides confirmation of the measurement focus. The focus can be adjusted locally or remotely across a range of 300 mm to infinity.

Language Support

The instrument provides multiple integrated language options, including: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazilian), Japanese, Chinese (Simplified Mandarin), Korean, Russian and Polish.
