AX73
The Hengstler AX73 is an explosion-proof absolute shaft encoder designed for demanding industrial environments. It is available with ATEX and IECEx certification for gas and dust hazardous areas and offers high-precision measurement with resolutions of up to 22-bit singleturn and 12-bit multiturn. The encoder uses an optical sensing system with a true geared multiturn mechanism and supports BiSS and SSI interfaces.

Explosion Protection
The AX73 is housed in a stainless-steel enclosure and is certified for use in explosive atmospheres. It carries EC-Type Examination Certificate ITS14ATEX17991X and IECEx certification ITS 14.0062X.
Its approved hazardous-area classifications are:
