9000Ex-41 to 9000Ex-45 Switching Repeaters
The 9000Ex-41 to 9000Ex-45 Switching Repeaters are designed to safely transfer digital signals from hazardous areas to control systems located in safe areas. They can work with NAMUR proximity sensors and dry contacts, making them suitable for applications where electrical safety is critical.
These modules provide galvanic isolation between the hazardous-area input, output, and power supply, helping protect the control system. The relay output responds to the input signal, while LEDs provide a clear indication of operating status and line faults.
A key feature is Line Fault Detection (LFD), which can identify conditions such as wire breaks and short circuits. During a fault, the output relay automatically de-energizes to help prevent unsafe operation. Users can also select output phase reversal and enable or disable LFD through switches on the module.
The switching repeaters are suitable for industries such as Oil & Gas, mining, refineries, pharmaceuticals, and process automation. Typical applications include connecting underground sensors to surface control systems, monitoring valve positions and turbine pulses, and receiving digital signals from pumps, compressors, mixers, reactors, and process skids.
